I am on number 4 four of these machines and it died tonight:( The company is glad to help but the turn around time is too long for us so I end up having to buy another one. The first was the Motor in the projector, the second was the sound, the third I gave gave away as a gift when I got it from the company because I couldnt believe this would possibly happen again and then tonight I think the bulb is out but I am not going to check or the company wont fix it. Sounds are soothing and picture viewer can easily be moved to display on the wall or ceiling. The room needs to be pretty dark to get the best picture view but the picture display gives a night light effect which does brighten up the room a little bit. He automatically took to it. I love this product! It lulls my baby to sleep, the projected images entertain him, and the product has a built in timer which is a God send. I gave this product 4 stars, only because i've had bad luck with the projector motor. It doesn't seem to be too sturdy. The first sound spa that I bought had to be returned because the motor started making an annoying ticking sound within a day of purchasing it. The sound was loud and could be heard over the music. Now the sound spa that I replaced the first one with, has a motor that makes a soft ticking sound. However, this product is so great that i'd still reccommend it to any parent. Many buyers have had no problem with their sound spas and i'm guessing that i'm having a problem with mine only because it endured a rough travel overseas to get to me. This device has 3 soothing tunes of Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, The Cradle Song and Rock-a-bye baby and 3 synthesized sounds of mom's heartbeat, the ocean and rain. It has a volume adjustable button and the sound is not tinny but of a great quality.
The projector system is very versatile. As long as you have a surface on which to project you can change the angle and the sharpness of the image to accommodate your little one's line of vision. This comes with three discs for projection. One with sheep,moon and stars, another with a jungle theme and another with an aquatic theme.
It also has a timer with 15 minute intervals up to 60 minutes so you can set the duration of the sounds and projection.
My Little one who was 2 weeks when first introduced to this device focused more on the sounds than the images but I guess when she is older she will be able to appreicate the projected images. It lulls her to sleep and soothes her when she is fussy.
It is also very well built in my opinion due to the fact that it has fallen several times on tiled surfaces and is still going strong. The only flaw I found with this device was the fact that you couldn't play the sounds in succession it just repeats the one selected.
